Privacy policy

The short version: your photo never leaves your device. ColorWhim runs the analysis in your browser. We don’t have accounts, we don’t set cookies, and we don’t sell or share personal data.
Your photos and camera
- When you choose a photo or take one with your camera, it is decoded and analyzed locally in your browser. It is not uploaded to colorwhim.com or any third party, and we never receive, see or store it.
- The face-landmark and segmentation models are downloaded from colorwhim.com to your browser. Downloading them sends no information about you or your photo.
- Measurements derived from the photo (sampled colors, face landmark positions, segmentation masks, the season estimates) exist only in your browser’s memory for the current page and are discarded when you press “Start over”, reload or close the tab.
- Camera access is requested only when you press the camera button, and the camera is switched off as soon as you capture or cancel. Your browser lets you revoke permission at any time.
- The palette card and drape images you download are generated on your device. The card does not include your photo unless you switch that on.
Biometric information
To find where to sample colors, the tool computes face landmark positions in your browser. We do not collect, capture, receive, store, sell or otherwise obtain biometric identifiers or biometric information. Nothing derived from your face is transmitted to us or anyone else, and nothing is kept after you leave the page. We do not use the tool to identify anyone.
Information we do process
- Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Analytics (cookieless). We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and gives us aggregate statistics only (for example, page views and referring sites). It never receives your photo or results.
We don’t use advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or third-party fonts or scripts.
Cookies and storage
ColorWhim does not set cookies and does not store your photo or results in local storage. Your browser may cache the site’s files (including the models) so the tool loads faster next time; this cache contains no personal data.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold personal data about you beyond transient hosting logs, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or a US state with privacy rights (such as California), you can still contact us with any request or question and we will respond as required by law.
Children
ColorWhim is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA and UK). We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change how ColorWhim handles data (for example, if we add optional features that need a server), we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and we will clearly label any feature that sends data off your device.
