About

Color, on a whim

ColorWhim started with a simple question: can you get a feel for which colors flatter you without booking an appointment, buying a kit, or uploading your face to a stranger’s server?

Professional color analysis is a lovely experience, and a trained analyst with real fabric in good light will always see more than a camera. But many people just want to play: to see whether that rust sweater really does something for them, or why they always reach for navy instead of black.

So ColorWhim is built around three ideas:

  • Private by design. Everything runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and we have no way to see it.
  • Honest, not oracular. We show leanings, not verdicts, and explain exactly how they’re made, including the limits.
  • Your eyes decide. Virtual drapes for all 12 seasons let you compare side by side and judge for yourself.
